LAKEWOOD, CO (July 18, 2007) Fitness Resources, an 18-year old company founded by Robert (Bob) Damashek was recently sold to the National Personal Training Institute of Colorado (NPTI Colorado).  Fitness Resources currently provides continuing education with top fitness industry presenters to include Juan Carlos Santana, Paul Chek, Dr. Len Kravitz, Greg Roskopf, Dr. Eric Cobb, Dr. Pete Egoscue, and more.

NPTI Colorados success in the personal fitness trainer education market has historically been focused on the beginning personal trainer, said Dan Agresti, Chairman, and NPTI Colorado Advisory Board.  This acquisition allows us to address the educational needs of the beginning personal trainer as well as the experienced, established personal trainer.

A personal trainers continuing education is a requirement with any industry-respected certification (e.g. ACE, ACSM, AFAA, NASM, and NSCA).  NPTI - Colorado currently hosts the NSCA Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) exam and the National Association of Sports Nutrition (NASN) Sports Nutritionist exam.  The acquisition of Fitness Resources facilitates NPTI Colorados partnering efforts with recognized certifying entities desiring a CEU / CEC promoter and host site.

Fitness Resources historically hosts CEU / CEC approved seminars with topics appealing to personal trainers, chiropractors, and athletic trainers alike ranging from Greg Roskopfs Muscle Activation Techniques to Dr. Eric Cobbs Rehabilitation, Health Improvement, & Performance Enhancement or Juan Carlos Santanas various leading edge techniques on stability ball, body weight, and functional training.

When asked about major upcoming changes, Agresti said, We will continue the high quality legacy created by Mr. Damashek, most notably continuing to host presentations by first class presenters who are recognized subject matter experts.  We will add extra emphasis on the seminars return on investment to the trainers business and clientele.    Every future Fitness Resources seminar topic must contribute to the personal trainers goal to grow their businesses and enhance their individual client training effectiveness via the seminars innovative tools, proven techniques, and genuinely applicable knowledge.

My personal goal is to ensure that the trainer leaves every Fitness Resources seminar saying, I can clearly apply this newly acquired knowledge from this seminar to my existing clients and I will also attract new clients starting tomorrow.  We will also introduce many new presenters and leading edge (yet practical) topics, such as the functional training benefits of kettlebell training coming late 2007 and 2008.  Agresti is not only the Chairman of NPTI Colorados Advisory Board; he is also an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer with a Masters Degree in Kinesiology.
