This inner map of your body is called your Body Schema and is what allows you to balance, stabilize, and coordinate with the external world. Without a perception of our body in space our movements become inefficient, compensations creep in, and over time our longevity is compromised. The truth is: movement longevity begins with perception of self. When you strengthen your Body Schema, you strengthen every step, stride, and turn that follows. So how do you begin to explore Body Schema?
